Dear IJP Families;

I am blessed to be surrounded by a wonderful group of students and staff on a daily basis. I am amazed, astounded, and so proud of the students, staff and families at IJP. The celebration that is Catholic Schools Week brings us closer as a community and gives us time and a more formal way to appreciate and thank everyone who makes the gift of Catholic education a reality.

This week we have partnered with the local senior community residences to create Valentine’s cards. On Tuesday, the entire school enjoyed a fun movie while teachers were honored with tokens of appreciation, lunch, and notes of thanks. On Wednesday, we dressed up and enjoyed a heart-warming All School Mass, gave cards of appreciation to our wonderful priests, Fr. Jack and Fr. Edmond, and hosted our first–ever Grandparents Morning. We had over 125 grandparents in attendance! The 6th graders did a fantastic job preparing the readings and the choir proclaimed beautifully to the heavens. On Thursday, we revved up and put the last minute polish on the 5th grade Wax Museum project and welcomed company in the evening.  My gratitude and thanks for all the families and students that attended our Open House and did such a great job making prospective families feel welcome as well. Finally, today, we were able to relax in a well-deserved jeans day, enjoyed a Fun Lunch, had Student Council lead us in All School Bingo, and ended the day with the Winter Sports Pep Assembly and Student vs. Faculty volleyball game.

Things are not always perfect; adults and students do not always make the right decisions, but we are blessed because of this loving, caring, and dedicated community. Take the time to affirm each other, hold up the best and help when times are difficult. That is what makes IJP the place to be!

Congratulations to all the 7th Grade Science Fair participants!  It was definitely a job well done. The judges were impressed with the time, effort and knowledge you put forth in your experiments and presentations. 25 students will be moving on to Regionals next month in the poster category. Good Luck!

IJP Trivia Night is quickly approaching!  Our Hawaiian theme is so fun and the competition between tables is fierce. Come join us on Saturday, February 24th.  Bring a whole table or just a few.  You won’t be disappointed!  Click here for more information.

The 2018-19 Registration Fee for next school year is due on Friday, March 16th. Tuition information and registration forms were sent home in December. It is vital to the planning of personnel and class size to have an accurate picture for next year.  If you are unsure about returning or are moving, please let us know as well. Thank you for the wonderful on time response with the Registration Forms right before Christmas.

Spring Pictures are right around the corner.  On March 7th, PreK through 7th grade will take pictures that will include a sibling option as well.  Watch for the flyer to come home shortly!

It has been a hectic, but joyful week. Thanks again for all that you do to support the school!

Have a wonderful and safe weekend!

Peace,

Natalie Formica

P.S. Everyone back in full uniform and correct school gym shoes on Monday!
