At IJP, our athletic program provides students with an opportunity to grow in teamwork, sportsmanship, and school spirit while developing confidence and character. We proudly offer Girls Volleyball, Boys Basketball, and Cheerleading, giving students meaningful ways to represent our school with pride.
As part of the Archdiocese of Chicago, all student-athletes must meet the following Eligibility Requirements to participate:

• Be a fully enrolled student
• Demonstrate academic progress as determined by classroom teacher(s)
• Display positive social behavior as determined by classroom teacher(s)
• Have a current athletic physical on file with the school office (Physicals are valid for one year)
• Attend school on the day of any game and/or practice

The strength and continued success of our athletic program depend on the dedication of both parent and non-parent coaches, along with the support of our vibrant Catholic school community. IJP oversees all programs and ensures that every coach and volunteer is fully compliant with Archdiocesan Virtus training and other important safety measures. The IJP athletic program operates under the authority of our Pastor and Principal and does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, sex, national or ethnic origin.
