Before and After Care
Welcome to Before and After Care – Infant Jesus of Prague’s Extended Care Program! Before and After Care provides each student with a well-supervised, safe environment. Supervision is provided by IJP faculty and staff. Our goal is to encourage each student to finish their homework and interact with peers so they are able to enjoy family time at the beginning and end of a busy day.
HOURS:
Before and After Care is held on all full school days throughout the school year in the morning from 6:45-7:45am (8:10am for preschool students) and in the afternoon from 3:00-6:00pm (2:45pm for preschool students). Please note that on early-dismissal Tuesday’s, Before and After Care will be held from 2:00-6:00pm. There is no charge to families on Tuesdays between 2:00 and 3:00pm. Before and After Care is designed to help the working parent with consistent and affordable childcare while providing a fun atmosphere for all IJP students to engage in before and after school.
DROP-OFF AND PICK-UP:
For morning drop-off and afternoon pick-up, please ring the bell at Door E, the cafeteria door on the east side of school. If your student is to be released to another family member/friend/neighbor/babysitter – you MUST either send a written note, email a message to your child’s homeroom teacher or call the school office with the name of the person responsible for picking up your student.
FEES:
● Registration fee is $35 per family – this must be paid prior to any student using the program.
● Fees: Each student will be charged $7 an hour and each additional family member will be $3.50 per hour. (There is no charge
● Late fees will be charged if your child is not picked up by 6:00 P.M. The fee is $2.00 per minute past 6:00 P.M.
BILLING/USAGE:
Our school uses the Procare app to manage all before and after care billing. Parents are required to create an account and sign up through the app in order to receive statements, track usage, and make payments. Please ensure your Procare account is active and up to date so that billing remains accurate and timely. If you need assistance with setup, please contact the school office. Bills are sent electronically each month from Procare for the previous month’s care. Please make payment by the 15th. All fees must be kept current in order to utilize the program.
REGISTRATION:
● To register for Before and After Care, please complete the Registration/Emergency form and return the form at registration.
● The Registration/Emergency form and $35 fee must be turned in prior to any student using the program.
STUDENTS WILL BE PROVIDED WITH:
● Supervision by IJP faculty and staff members
● A controlled environment promoting the safety of your student
● A snack and drink (after 4:00pm only)
● Indoor/outdoor activities
Before and After Care follows the accident and emergency procedures as stated in the school handbook.
